Caution about teaching MFN to friends, neighbors, relatives

This was posted privately but a message there suggested to post to community help forum to help all.

Hello.

Small problem. i got my brother interested in MFN and he's joined me in playing in MFN-15 (he's Washington, i'm Cleveland). In order to show him how to play, i took my computer to where my family lives in Connecticut (i live in New York) and spent a few days showing him the ropes and now he's all into in it (he was hesitant to participate previously, thinking it was too complicated).

Apparently because i logged in there (on vacation visiting my family) i am now unable to trade with him. i do occasionally visit family and don't want the AI to handle my teams while i'm vacationing. Is there some way around this for us? We have very weak teams and were trying to process some trades to help each other, but were unable to.

Thank you for any help in advance.

Anthony

Moral of the story: if you teach MFN to someone, don't use your account on their connection if you want to compete in the same league.

That happened several times to me and a co-worker of mine. It's a temporary block .. I forget how long though.

It sucks .. but it's needed and helps prevent multis.

actually i dont think the 30 days counts in this case more like the same IP connection because both users have been on this site for 30 days.

MFN 15 Cleveland = https://mfn15.myfootballnow.com/team/12 (2 months)
MFN 15 Washington = https://mfn15.myfootballnow.com/team/view/20 (1 month)

it does count, if you sign in from the same ip on two different accounts (family member or friend) you have to wait 30 days before you can trade with that person. I'm not making it up, it happened to my brother and I

This is correct, the system looks at any IP address you have each used in the last 30 days.

BTW, please don't try to get around it using a proxy, I do have watchers in place and if an account is identified as going through a known proxy it will be deleted, no questions asked.

if you noticed both users have been on this site for at least 1 month for washington's owner and 2 months for cleveland's owner thats why it said the 30 days doesnt count in this case because both have been on here for 30 days (30 days equals to 1 month)

Thanx for the feedback, guys.

Problem is, i do visit my family once a month or so during the summer especially, so the prospect is that i'll likely never be able to trade with him.

NP, small potatoes. Its just that i've seen what the AI does and as long as i will be putting effort into this team i will not let it do anything of importance, or i'll end up starting from scratch.

By the way, watch out for that guy (my bro). While i'm just doing this for fun, he always plays for blood.

:)

Quick question. Can i sign in with two different devices? Id like to start using my ipad a little since my phone is not top notch for depth chart.
