I've been working on trying to get these out before week 1 so I'll put out the preseason polls and the new polls after week 1. This is a very crude formula and I'm hoping will get some discussion going, but at least it's better than the invitational that the NCAA currently has lol.

After a hectic week which saw 3 top ten match ups and a major upset of a top 5 team, the polls have finally made their way out. Week 2 should be a bit calmer as there are 0 top ten matchups, but that just means that if a top ten gets upset there will be bigger consequences to pay. Now with no further ado, here are your rankings:

1 Arkansas 471
2 Indiana 433
3 Mississippi State 386
4 Alabama 239
5 UCLA 230
6 Washington 229
7 Michigan State 224
8 Florida 195
9 Missouri 186
10 Oklahoma 185

I just put the numbers into an excel sheet, so there are a few surprises and some that I don't necessarily agree with but it's what the numbers worked out. I'm sure in the end it will work out better. The algorithm to just get what I've gotten has taken me a few days to figure out. Hope you all enjoy it though.

Polls After week 2

By Gscorpio - League Admin

Good afternoon fellow sports fans. Week 2 matchups saw two top 5 teams fall to teams outside the top 20 as number 3 Mississippi State fell to LSU and number 5 UCLA fell to Wisconsin. A third top ten team also got upset as number 9 Missouri fell out of the top ten thanks to Texas.

1 Arkansas

Arkansas keeps showing why they are number one and will put that ranking up against a Mississippi State team that just got upset.

2 Indiana

Kept pace with the Hogs in the ranking, but lost some ground to them points wise. They will look to make up some of those points this week as they face an unranked Nebraska team in week 3

3 Alabama

The Tide was able to rebound after their week 1 upset to beat Georgia on the road in week 2, but face an angry UCLA team that just got upset themselves in week 2.

4 Washington

The Huskies fell in week 1 but was able to take care of business in week 2 and jump up two spots. They will attempt to keep the momentum rolling against an Auburn team still looking for their first win.

5 Michigan State

The Spartans look to stay undefeated against a Vanderbilt team that is also looking to remain undefeated and trying to find their spot in the top ten as well. This should be a good one to keep an eye on

6 Florida
7 Oklahoma
8 Mississippi State
9 Texas
10 UCLA

After the third week of the fresh season, the polls seem to be starting to shape up with the top half of the top 10 solidifying their spots in the top 5 and several teams looking to jump into the top 10 and a couple of teams trying to find a way to stay in the top ten.

1. Arkansas 702

Arkansas needed a last minute FG to squeak out a win versus Mississippi State and remain undefeated. They look to keep their winning ways going versus unranked Nebraska.

2. Indiana 621

Indiana used a stifiling defense to shutout Nebraska in week 3 and were able to close the gap on Arkansas. A week 4 contest against unranked Ole Miss could help them close the gap even more.

3. Alabama 443

After a week 1 shocking loss, the Tide looks like they have found their groove as they remain #3 as they beat UCLA in week 3. They will look to take an early divisional lead when they face #6 Florida in week 4.

4. Washington 418

The Huskies have been as stable as any team since their week 1 loss to Michigan State, shutting out Auburn 19-0 in week 3. They face Oregon in week 4 who just lost their first game of the season.

5. Michigan State 409

Some may say the Spartans should be ranked ahead of Washington due to their head to head matchup and undefeated season. They picked up a few points on Washington in week 3 thanks to a 28-13 win over Vanderbilt. Sitting just 9 points behind, They look to gain the remaining points when they face bitter rival Michigan this week.

6. Florida 380

A first week loss seems to have the Gators fired up as they have reeled off two consecutive wins. They will be chopping at the bit to get into the top 5 if they can continue the climb which rolls on with a week 4 matchup against #3 Alabama in what should be the game of the week.

7. Oklahoma 363

The Sooners has used the defense and low scoring games to remain undefeated. They will look to keep #10 Mississippi State grounded when they welcome the Bulldogs to Norman in week 4.

8. Texas 203

A week 1 loss to their bitter rival Oklahoma set the Longhorns back a bit, but they have been bullying their opponents ever since. They will look to work their way up the rankings when They host lowly Rutgers in Austin this week.

9. Missouri 156

When Missouri is good, they are unstoppable as proven with their 67-3 point differential in their wins. Their lone loss was a 17-7 set back to #8 Texas. They host an Ohio State team that will be angry after their loss in week 3

10. Mississippi State 147

How the Dawgs are still in the top ten after two consecutive losses nobody knows. They took their second loss on a last second FG to fall 19-17 to #1 Arkansas. Week 4 doesn't get any easier as they face their 3 top ten opponent in four weeks when they travel to #7 Oklahoma.

Good afternoon, B1G and SEC fans!! Week 4 looked like there were going to be some great games and it did not disappoint. We had one of our ranked teams fall to an unranked team and had more than one top ten matchups prove to be great show. Without further ado, here are our top ten rankings going into week 5:

1. Arkansas 800

Arkansas becomes our first team to hit 800 points after surviving yet another scare with a 15-9 win over unranked Nebraska. This week the Hogs will host division rival Ole Miss as they look to remain undefeated and start to put a lockdown on the division.

2. Indiana 721

Indiana is slowly closing in on the number 1 spot and made up more ground this week with a shutout win over Ole Miss this week, Week 5 looks to be another good opportunity for the Hoosiers to reign in more points as they face bitter rival Illinois in Bloomington.

3. Alabama 542

Alabama was able to take control of the SEC East with a nail biting victory over the Florida Gators in week 4. Week 5 will give them an opportunity to try to keep the top two teams within reach as they face one of our bottom 4 teams in USC.

4. Michigan State 500

With the Week 4 win over their divisional rival and a Washington loss to their rival, the Spartans find themselves in the top 4. They will look to remain their when they travel to LA to play UCLA who is looking to crack into the top ten themselves.

5. Washington 331

The Huskies failed to pull off the W against rival Oregon in week 4 but fortunately they had done enough in the early running to remain in the top 5. They will go to Athens and try to avoid a second upset against a tough Georgia team to remain in their position or to regain the one they lost this week.

6. Texas 295

Texas has quietly moved into the top ten and is starting to make some noise as they are creeping toward the upper half of the top ten. After their loss to Oklahoma in week one they have reeled off 3 consecutive wins by allowing only 1 TD and two FG in that time. They will look to keep the momentum going as they host the Buckeyes of Ohio State in week 5

7. Florida 271

After a week 1 loss the Gators looked impressive in wins against Oregon and South Carolina, but failed to ride the wave to a victory against the Tide in week 4. They will now focus on starting another winning streak against an Auburn team that got W #1 in week 4 and are hoping to start a streak of their own.

8. Mississippi State 246

After a brutal first quarter of the season that saw State play 3 top 10 foes, and the fourth team currently in top 15, the Dogs finished 2-2. A defensive battle with fellow top 10 resident Oklahoma ended in a 10-3 win. The lone TD? A defensive score. The Dogs will get a chance to get their offense back on track against South Carolina in week 5

9. Oklahoma 245

The Sooners have relied on their defense in their 3 wins this year. They didn't allow a TD against Mississippi State in week 4, but the offense did and that was the difference in the game. They will be featured in our game of the week against #10 Missouri in week 5 and will need tds to go to their side of the board in order to pull off the home win.

10 Missouri 240

Missouri has quietly put together a strong season and will want to keep things moving upward when they travel to Norman in week 5. A win here should move them up and away from the cut line. Though a loss will probably not knock them out of the top ten (216 points to the good), it will more than likely leave them battling to keep seeing their name here.

Week 6

By Gscorpio - League Admin
3/11/2024 6:35 pm
Week 5 saw very little movement in the poll with the only exception Oklahoma and Mississippi State swapping spots once again. In fact the biggest mover this week was Iowa jumping 7 spots from 24 to 17. Here are your top ten:

1 Arkansas 889

The Hogs still rule the roost after a 21-3 thrashing of Ole Miss which completes the season sweep of the Rebels. In week 6 They welcome Mississippi State and hope to show them the same treatment as they tighten the grip on the SEC South.

2 Indiana 2 833

The Hoosiers are still lurking in the shadows of Arkansas but thanks to a 36-3 whipping they gave rival Illinois they closed the gap on the Hogs. They hope to be casting their own shadows after week 6 if they can leave Beaver Stadium with a similar result against Penn State.

3. Alabama 627

Alabama has been able to hang on to the #3 spot since they regain the position in week 3.
A week 5 victory of USC helped gain a few points on the top 2, however a matchup against #5 Washington is around the corner in week 6. A win will go a long way to help secure the spot for the Tide and possibly overtake one of the top two with a little help. A loss will cost them 1 spot at least.

4. Michigan State 600

Michigan State has been strong and steady at 5-0 in large part to their stingy defense. In week 6, they face a struggling Kentucky team that managed to score only 2 points in a defensive struggle against Vanderbilt. The Spartans look to use that defense to gain ground or possibly move up to #3.

5. Washington 436

Washington has hung around the top 5 despite thanks to their two losses being by 3 points each and being dominant in their 3 wins. They look to gain a couple of positions when they host Alabama in am intruiging top 5 matchup.

6. Texas 408

The Longhorns had little trouble and showed they believe they deserve to be in the top 5 with a 40-3 home win against Ohio State in week 5. Week 6 is another chance to gain ground on the elusive #5 position with they host lowly South Carolina.

7. Florida 381

The Gators loss in week 4 seemed to have fired them up in week 5 as they did not allow Auburn to even take a snap on their side of the field. As a matter of fact, the defense scored as many TDs as the offense in the 28-0 shutout. The Gators will try to use more of that anger as Vanderbilt comes to town in week 6.

8. Oklahoma 337

Oklahoma rebounded from the loss to Mississippi State in week 4 with a 19-17 win at #10 Missouri Tigers in week 5. Week 6 will see the Sooners travel to another set of Tigers as they travel to Baton Rouge to battle the LSU Tigers. A win should see the Sooners close the gap between them and #7 Florida while a loss could see them slip a spot or two.

9. Mississippi State 324

State was able to travel to South Carolina and avoid the upset and come out of Columbia with a W. Now State must travel to Fayetteville and face the number 1 in the league in one of two top 10 matchups in week 6. A win will put the Dogs back in the race for the division, while a lost will relegate them to playing for a wild card and possibly falling out of the top ten for the first time this year.

10. Missouri 128

The Tigers were able to hold on to the gate keeper position even though they lost in week 5 to Oklahoma. However, the loss has put them in a position where a loss this week against division foe Texas A&M will more likely see them drop not only out of the top ten but the top 15. A win against the Aggies, and some help, and the Tigers could find themselves not only out of the gate keeper position, but in a three way tie for the division lead.

Week 6

By Gscorpio - League Admin
3/13/2024 6:01 pm
Week 6 saw movement up and down the polls including a newcomer.

1. Arkansas 986

The Razorbacks stay on top of the mountain following their 20-6 win over previously ranked Mississippi State. Along with their win they obtain a firm grasp on the SEC South just a little over a third of the way into the season. Week 7 sees our leader continue their homestand against the Iowa Hawkeyes who just got upset at home against Illinois.

2. Indiana 941
Although they did not take over Arkansas in the polls, the Indiana Hoosiers were able to close the gap by another 13 points with a 30-0 shutout victory over Penn State, their third in four games. The defense been the best of the best all year and now it looks as though their offense is starting to catch up. They will get to showcase their abilities when the LSU Tigers come to Bloomington in week 7

3. Michigan State 711
The Spartans complete our trifecta of undefeated teams as they moved up to #3 following their 28-6 win over Kentucky. They will now focus on a hot Wisconsin team who will come to Lansing on a streak of their own. The winner will take the lead in the B1G North.

4. Washington 539

Washington used a stout defense to pull off a win at Alabama and move up one spot just ahead of their week 6 opponent. In week 7 the Huskies will attempt to complete their sweep of the SEC East division when they welcome the Gators to town.

5. Alabama 515

Alabama fell two spots after their home loss to Washington in Week 6. Week 7 will feature the first version of the Iron Bowl as Auburn invades Tuscaloosa. Alabama will need to put the loss to the Huskies behind them or they could find themselves outside the top 5 for the first time this season.

6. Texas 488

After the results of the week 6 games, Texas finds themselves closer to top 5 than not. Week 7 sees the Longhorns travel to Missouri to take on their divisional foe. A win over the #9 ranked team could go a long way to entering the front half of the rankings. A loss will not only see Texas drop in polls but fall into a tie for second place in the division.

7. Oklahoma ***
Speaking of the SEC West, the co leader sits just behind their archrival at number 7 and is looking to move up after a 31-0 demolishing of LSU in week 7. If they replicate that result when they host Maryland they could not only be on the heels of the top 5, but with a little help could leave week 7 as the sole leader of the SEC West.

8. Florida 256

At number 8 the Gators went from a team knocking on the door of the top 5 to falling to the lower half where there are no fewer than 4 teams within 50 points of each other. A loss could see the Gators out of the top ten and relegated to battling of one of 2 wild card spots. A win could give them some breathing room and in a fight for the SEC East.

9. Missouri 227

Missouri used a 20-9 win over divisional foe Texas A&M to move up one spot to #9. Though the victory put them in a good position to make the playoffs, a loss to number 6 Texas this week could put postseason dreams in jeapordy as they prepare for the second half of the season. It could also have them outside looking in the top ten.

10. Wisconsin 213

Welcome to the rankings Wisconsin! Wisconsin used their win over Minnesota and a loss of Mississippi State to Arkansas to move into the rankings. Now they must face one of three undefeated teams in MIchigan State. With so much on the line for these two teams, Wisconsin won't have much time to celebrate their success.

Week 7

By Gscorpio - League Admin
3/16/2024 10:10 am
As we start closing out the first half of the season, we have some teams that have substantiated themselves as major players for the inaugural league championship, other teams locking themselves in for a top 5 pick, while others are fighting just to keep their playoff hopes alive. Here is a look at how things look as we enter the halfway point of the season.

1. Arkansas 1101

The Razorbacks have been about as dominant as any other team in the league, and has held the top spot throughout the first 7 weeks of the season. After a 24-0 throttling of Iowa in week 7, they remain at P1 and will all but put a cap on the division race if they complete a sweep of divisional foes when they face #17 LSU in week 8.

2. Indiana 1086

Speaking of dominant teams, the Hoosiers have had an even easier time navigating their schedule thus far. Out scoring opponents 164-19 through week 7, they will look to go 8-0 when they go to Starkville to take on the Bulldogs. Indiana gave up their first TD of the season in their 27-7 romp of LSU and will take the field in week 8 looking for a GM as dangalanti retired for personal reasons

3. Michigan State 818

The Spartans remain undefeated in season 1 with a huge 24-7 win over Wisconsin in week 7. The win gave Michigan State a two game lead for the division title and sets them up for a nice playoff position going into the second half of the season. Closing the first half out with a win against #30 Nebraska should give the Spartans plenty of confidence for the second half.

4. Washington 643

Sitting at 5-2 might not have been what #4 Washington was hoping for going to the season halftime, with wins over ranked teams Alabama and Florida (last week), gives the Huskies the confidence they need to close out the season. The two losses came at the hands of #3 Michigan State and #17 LSU, so there is still some work to do on the field for the Huskies.

5. Texas 603

The Longhorns entered the top 5 for the first time this season. Sitting at 6-1, they are tied for the SEC West division lead with the Sooners, however, a week 1 loss to those Sooners has Texas 1/2 game back. A 34-10 smoking at Missouri in week 7 propelled Texas into the top 5, along with some help. The Longhorns are hoping to move up another spot, or at least take sole possession of the division after they take the field against #16 Texas A&M this week.

6. Oklahoma 561

Oklahoma has played well enough to stay in the top ten in the first 7 weeks, and sit with a microscopic 1/2 game lead over rival Texas in the division. The Sooner defense has been a key factor in the 6-1 record with the loss coming at Mississippi State due to a State defensive TD. Since that week 4 set back, Oklahoma has reeled off 3 straight wins including blowout shutouts the past two weeks. The Sooners will look to make it three when they go to Ohio State and face the #18 Buckeyes.

7. Alabama 390

After a week 1 set back, Alabama reeled off 4 straight wins before losing the last two weeks to Washington and in state rival Auburn. A test against #25 Tennessee should set the course right again for the Tide for the second half of the season. If they get upset to fall to .500 in week 8, not only could Alabama fall out of the top ten, but they could see themselves in a 3 way tie for the division lead.

8. Mississippi State 296

After a week of sitting outside the top ten last week, the Bulldogs re entered the rankings and look to remain there for the second half. A win over arch rival Ole Miss last week has put State in a position to improve upon their playoff positioning after week 8. A visiit by #2 Indiana looms in week 8 and could send State back outside the rankings if they can't find any consistency.

9. Florida 139

The Gators are sitting 3-4 after 7 weeks but thanks to all but one loss being against ranked opponents (a 24-16 setback against #12 Vandy in week 6) indicating the tough schedule the reason for their losing record, the pollsters are keeping Florida in the top ten. The Gators will have the chance to reach .500 and prove the polls right when #13 UCLA takes the cross country trip from LA to Gainesville.

10. Missouri 96

After gaining momentum and moving up to #9 in the polls in week 6, a week 7 home loss to Texas has seen Missouri fall back into the gate keeper role. They will look to at least keep that role, when they travel to face #27 Penn State at the halfway game. A win will keep the Tigers in position to fight for a playoff spot, while a loss will hurt those chances as well have Missouri looking outside the top ten.
